We've been through a lot since we started way back in 2011. Even throughout covid we kept running what we could and supported fellow creatives in gaining new skills and promoting their work.
But now we are facing rapidly increasing operational costs that are making it harder than ever to make our arts centre viable.
If we are to continue as a destination and an accessible space for the community we need to develop a structure for people who are willing to support us in our efforts.
ALL profits go towards OPEN Ealing, helping it to continue to run affordable and accessible classes and events
we are a small team and can turn our hand to most things; but we could do with some help at times. We’d welcome your help with workshop administration, social media posts, handyman jobs, making sure our events go smoothly and things we haven’t even thought about! Let’s talk - email info@openealing.com
We can always do more than we do already and sponsorship will allow us to expand our connections and collaborations; offer more workshop places to people who can’t afford to pay for lessons and provide an online wellbeing workshop platform for people not able to join us in person.
We wanted to develop a project where we could convey our thanks to each individual supporter of OPEN Ealing. We are a small team and it is beyond our capability to do this manually. One of our artists has kindly donated their time and tech skills to curate a collection of unique artworks
The theme of the work are People, Place and Potential. These are vital principles for the work we do at OPEN Ealing. Without these, we would not exist. and without your support we might not in the future.
We want to expand, but that is really hard to do when you're a small organisation like us. It takes a lof of time and resources to create another part of what we do so we're starting simple!
Trying to sell art is no easy feat, and asking artists to donate work at a time when everyone is struggling didn't seem fair or practical. So we're working with a small group of supporters with the aid of AI to generate a wide range of images we think look great as tokens of our appreciation for yoru support.
Starting this way we can maximise our reinvestment back into the the community and provide creative practitioners fair paid opportunities for their skills
We don't see this as replacing artists, infact we plan to expand our collection to artists and makers. So watch this space as the artwork changes and grows.
Please share this website with friends, family and colleagues. And help keep accessible and affordable art for the community.
